We saw how easy it was to look honest without actually ‘being honest’. Greenwashing wasn’t the exception; it was the strategy. And “transparency” was often just a nicer word for don’t look too closely. So we stopped playing along . We stepped away from what was familiar and, along with a former colleague, chemist, and friend, started building something that we felt was
right: a beauty brand that’s genuinely clean, conscious about what we say, and simply
committed to earning trust - not assuming it.
